Liberia’s hardcore rapper Barsee known for his fearless lyrics and no nonsense attitude has found himself in hot water after being arrested in Grand Bassa County for disorderly conduct involving one of the county’s respected elders and chief.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident took place over the weekend in Buchanan. Reports say Barsee allegedly got into a heated exchange with one of the chiefs after a misunderstanding escalated. The confrontation reportedly drew the attention of onlookers, leading local authorities to intervene and take the rapper into custody.
Sources close to the artist described the situation as “a small misunderstanding that got blown out of proportion,” while community members claim Barsee’s behavior was “disrespectful” toward traditional leadership.
The Grand Bassa Police later confirmed the incident, stating that Barsee was detained briefly for questioning.
Barsee, who has recently been making headlines for his bold statements about being “unmatched” in the Liberian music scene, is yet to publicly comment on the arrest.
